We live in a small house.
I’m a bachelor. Amma and appa lived downstairs, while I used to spend most of my time on the first floor, and slept there too.
Starting May 2015, I started sleeping in amma’s room so that I was nearby to help in case of any emergency, and more important to assist her when she had leg pains. Appa slept in a different room.
Given the size of her bedroom which also served a few other purposes, the only way I could sleep in the same room was if I slept on the floor.
I do not remember when I had last slept regularly on the floor before that – perhaps twenty years earlier. But since May 2015, I had slept on the floor everyday while at home (with some comfortable mattresses and blankets of course), until a few days back when I shifted to amma’s bed.
Sleeping on the floor actually felt quite earthy and healthy, 85 except on occasions when rats ran over me.

85. Is sleeping on the floor good or bad for health? No one thinks it is bad, but there is no unanimity among doctors, or proof, it has any specific benefits over sleeping in bed.
